Built for roadmap decisions

A gap report that knows the limits of competitor research.

Competitor pages can prove marketed capabilities. They cannot prove your customers want them, competitors' customers use them, or your product lacks an undocumented version. The analyzer keeps those boundaries attached to every recommendation.

Comparable peers first

Direct products carry full prevalence weight. Adjacent products stay contextual.

Exact source proof

Each accepted capability points to a consecutive excerpt on an official page.

State-aware comparison

Native, integration, service, manual, beta, planned, and unclear are never false parity.

Honest decisions

No inferred demand, adoption, ROI, effort, market share, or fake product absence.

How it works

Validate peers, extract facts, normalize, then score.

  1. 01

    Inspect

Bounded public-page crawls profile the target and each submitted competitor.

  2. 02

    Validate

Unrelated, unverified, direct, and indirect products are separated before scoring.

  3. 03

    Normalize

Exact-source atomic capabilities become state-aware feature clusters.

  4. 04

    Prioritize

Deterministic prevalence and evidence checks produce an unpadded decision brief.

The opportunity score

Strategic triage, not a build order.

A potential table-stakes label needs at least three validated direct competitors, evidence on 60% of them, a score of 75 or more, and complete enough coverage. Every row still requires owner confirmation and customer validation.

SaaS feature-gap questions

What does the SaaS Feature Gap Analyzer compare?

It compares atomic capabilities found on your public SaaS pages with capabilities found on 2–10 submitted competitor sites. Native features, integrations, services, manual workflows, beta, planned, deprecated, and unclear states remain separate.

Does not observed mean my product lacks the feature?

No. It means the capability was not found inside the bounded public-page analysis. Every opportunity is an owner-confirmation and customer-validation task before it becomes a roadmap decision.

How is the opportunity score calculated?

The 100-point score combines buyer and core-job alignment, prevalence among validated direct competitors, workflow criticality, strategic fit, and evidence quality. It does not measure demand, confidence, ROI, popularity, or market share.

Will it recommend every feature competitors mention?

No. Submitted sites must first validate as direct or indirect competitors. A potential gap needs exact source evidence and a minimum score; the report can correctly return zero opportunities.

What if I do not know all my SaaS competitors?

Use Blogged's Find My SaaS Competitors tool first, then paste the strongest validated peers here. The tools are linked but their private runs are not automatically shared.

Does the analyzer follow robots.txt?

No. For this tool, robots.txt is observed but does not block bounded requests to the submitted public target or competitor pages. Authentication, private pages, private networks, unsafe redirects, and verified domain exclusions remain blocked.

How private is the report?

The report is private to your signed-in account or anonymous browser capability. Signed-out results expire after 24 hours and signed-in results after 30 days.
